In order to promote industrialisation of backward areas, the Development Commissioner (DC) of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) under instructions from the central Government, announces various schemes for the Small Scale Industries. In June 1988 about 70 Growth Centres were established throughout the country as each Growth Centre is bestowed with the best of infrastructural facilities to facilitate and promote industrial growth. Users can get information on details on Transport Subsidy scheme, Relaxation of PMRY norms, capital incentives, etc. apart from various schemes regarding trade related entrepreneurship assistance and development for women and weaker sections like Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
